Hunt in Solitude
Katmai Park and Preserve
Our guide-exclusive concession in the Katmai Park and Preserve is located on the Alaskan Peninsula, 225 miles southwest of Anchorage. Holding the sole guide use permit with the National Park Service in the Sugarloaf area of the Katmai Preserve, makes Alaska Wild Wind Adventures the only outfitter allowed to conduct guided hunts within this area. Encompassing close to 220 square miles of the richest salmon spawning areas in the state, our area holds one of the world’s largest population of brown bears. With a limited amount of tags and a long term permit with the National Park Service, we have an invested interest in managing and preserving this area to harbor the best hunting Alaska can offer. These limited tags and exclusive guiding rights allow us to manage our area to the highest degree and increases the opportunity of potentially harvesting a record book brown bear and Alaskan-Yukon moose. AWWA also holds permitting to operate on BLM and State land areas adjoining our exclusive concession, offering an even greater opportunity to make your adventure successful.
Wrangell St. Elias National Park and Preserve
Alaska Wild Wind Adventures is now the holder of two adjoining concessions within the Wrangell St. Elias National Park and Preserve. These areas have a rich outfitting and guiding history dating back prior to statehood and the formation of the National Park and Preserve. Running from the Alaskan-Yukon border west, these two areas hold some of the best genetics for all species and have produced amazing trophy quality for Dall Sheep, Moose, inland Grizzly Bear, Black Bear and Wolf.
