I am the owner and operator of Alaska Wild Wind Adventures and hold Alaska registered guide license #1299. I started hunting with my father at the young age of 4 and since that first time in the woods over 30 years ago, I was hooked. The woodsman skills my father taught me at a young age, have helped me mature into the outfitter and guide I am today.
A good friend and I came to Alaska during our freshmen year of college. We both found work as packers for a local hunting operation out of Anchorage. I returned every year until I graduated from Virginia Tech. Being a collegiate swimmer gave me the drive and determination to succeed while keeping focused on my overall goals. While I built valuable experience as a packer, on the basics of what Alaska had to offer, I was determined to pursue a lifelong dream of becoming a professional hunting guide and outfitter. So after I graduated from Virginia Tech I returned to Alaska for good.
With an unmatched drive to succeed, I gained time and experience guiding hunters to numerous big game animals throughout Alaska. Guiding experience within National Wildlife Refuges, National Preserves, BLM, and State lands in Alaska, has helped me acquire my own exclusive hunting concessions, one of the most sought-after brown bear areas in the world. The world-famous Katmai Preserve. The other two in the Wrangells St. Elias Preserve, known for its rugged mountains that hold exceptional Dall Sheep and Alaskan-Yukon Moose. I am also a board member of the Alaska Professional Hunters Association and stay very involved with conservation issues involving game, hunting, and fishing throughout the state of Alaska.
