I had the pleasure of hunting with Cabot in the Brooks in August of 2012. It too was my dream hunt., and what a hunt it was. I can’t say enough good about Cabot and the difference he made in the overall hunt. I have the luxury of writing this after reviewing some of the other comments made by other hunters. There seems to be a definite pattern as to the common threads of each hunters experiences. Cabot is as good a guy and guide as you can get & he is a physical BEAST as well!! Another good friend of mine and a fellow outfitter Jay Platt of G3 outfitters joined me on our Brooks Dall sheep hunt and he is squarely in the same camp regarding his thoughts about the guiding experience that he also shared. When you invest all that you do in a hunt like this, you want a hunting experience and guide that gives it his all and is enjoyable to be around for 10/12/14 plus days, that is exactly what I encountered with Cabot.
I like most of the other hunters continue to stay in touch with Cabot and not only consider him my good friend, but I hope to share several hunts with him in the future. He is simply passionate about what he does and it shines through each and every day of the hunt. My best guess is that as Cabot grows his business he will be more and more in demand because of the types of comments that I have read on this website & based on my personal experience. If you are going to Alaska to hunt, Cabot would be at the top of my list.
